A Dark Black Stone part 1

Guthstyr's bees were gone. He opened his palm and looked at the small dark object. He spotted some strange writing. A one word. At least it appeared like that. He thought: "I have to speak to our chieftain as soon as I can."
Guthstyr was admitted by Grimbeorn that evening. He spoke to Grimbeorn about recent events in great detail. Grimbeorn spoke: "Show me that dark stone." Grimbeorn looked at it for long time. He studied its writing and then sighed.
"It appears to be an object some sort of power. I have ill thoughts towards it yet I don't know the full effect of this stone. Keep it safe. I will summon someone who may have knowledge of these things. He is one of the wisest man walking these lands I ever met."

In several days a shabby brown clad old man with slightly mad appearance stood in Grimbeorn's hall and studied the Dark Black stone. He looked for long time and then he looked again. Then he mumbled:"This is an evil thing. You said you found it near your beehive? No wonder that your bees got all angry and restless. You have to go and take it out of the Vale throw it to the river ... or no take it so some evil place so it won't spread its evil influence in some peaceful land. I know about one such place faraway from here. It's close to town Bree. Outside of Bree is an ancient burial place full of barrows. Such place with contain and consume power of this evil stone."

Following day there was a counsel summoned to Grimbeorn's Hall with purpose who is to go and get rid of the Dark black stone. After long heated discussion it was clear that no one is willing to go and therefore decided that the stone has to be taken away by the person who found it - Guthstyr. And so Guthstyr prepared him for long journey to Bree.

It was long road and Guthstyr was very tired when he saw the Gate of Bree for the first time in his life. He just thought: "I don't like it but someone had to go to do it!"
