From now on, It's just business.

Left on the wardrobe beside the bed of the dark and now cold house was a note... It had been written in a rushed scripture and beside the note was a map of the North Downs with the town of Trestlebridge encircled in black ink.

...The meaning is cryptic and unsure, but one thing is clear, something is not right.

Dear Dalfura of the Vales...

I have no time nor the patience for the trivial act of a soppy goodbye, I have made my mind up entirely, I am to head to Trestlebrige now and establish a foothold there as soon as I finish writing this note... It is better sooner rather than later... I wish not to arrive too late and find the place devoid of any work.

You are free to follow me and make your way up to the North, and actually I want you to come. I shall gladly have you by our side...

I have oft noticed we seldom work on many contracts, when we do it tends to be with us alone, let us be honest here, your abilities saves The Dawn having to pay multiple mercenaries when you and I can do the job just as efficiently... I feel that your aid will be much needed in Trestlebridge though the people may not trust you and at first may not appreciate your help, it is wise to keep that in mind.

It may end up that we shall preform a wholly thankless task other than saving people's lives... We are not even guaranteed to be paid yet as far as I am aware... I try not to make it apparent but we are running out of coin and fast... If I do not paid for this task I fear we may lose the right to live in my home... It is mine for it is in my name and I am the one paying for it.

If you do decide to stay behind for whatever reason (though I see little reason for you to stay and get bored) then that is acceptable... However I know you would never turn down an opportunity to help those in need... And the people in Trestlebridge really do need our help.

And when you do arrive, you must know this... From here on out it is just business, we cannot afford to be distracted... This work is more important.

Come to think of it, you likely still have little concept on how I think... Perhaps you may come to realize deep down who I truly am...

Know this, dark things stir and I fear a great conflict may break out... But it may not as obvious as fighting Orcs... I fear things are starting to unravel themselves, and no amount of patchwork can save what may happen...

...Love cannot carry us through this, we must be more disciplined.
