A tale of a Raeven and a Fox

Ithelion sits before a well worn diary as he writes on the final page of it.

It seem this book has served me well, it is time I get another but I feel the need to write one last thing in it before I pack it away. Even as autumn leaves begin to fall and the flowers wilt for the winter I find joy in a wedding this time of year. It's still a time of harvest, the end of growing before resting and then planting new seed for the next harvest. A time of parties to celebrate both good harvests and bring blessings on the next if it was not. It is the perfect time for a wedding. I'm leaving what I used to be behind and getting used to a new life with new customs and rules. I'm leaving my past name behind like the wilted blossoms and blooming again with a new one.

Oh the wedding...filled with music, wine, food and cheer. I couldn't ask for more this far from home. I've had Chrysanthe write invites...Inga helped craft little pine needle foxes and ravens to place at the table for those who come. Rae's brother's have helped craft a suit...dear me the thing fits tight but they said it looked better that way. I feel even poor Inga would have trouble fitting in it. They won't let me show it to Raeven, they keep saying it would be bad luck for him to see me in it. What a fright that would be....ah well I shall fill a swan basket and place it by the river for a bit of blessing from the sisters of the river...if they see me this far from my homelands.
