I spent yesterday amusing myself with plans for the future. It's becoming increasingly clear that what I really want is something that I shall never have. It may therefore be in my best interests to discard that particular foolish notion and return to my original intentions.
It will take time and effort, but I believe it will be worth it in the end. Phase one should be almost complete by now. I'll find out come the spring.
As I sat upon the riverbank furiously scribbling away in my other ledger, I was happened across by a young boy of pre-teen age who declared that he had been extremely impressed by my antics with Toddir's trousers and went on to ask if I could teach him to climb like that.
Of course I can. I'm just not convinced that I should.
He was less than pleased by my response, though brightened up to some degree when I offered to teach him something else that might prove far more useful in the long run.
Well, why not? I've nothing else to do, the company would be welcome and although he seems well-fed and cared for, hardly in need of any help I might give, it will keep us both out of trouble.
If he returns this afternoon, as he said he would, then I shall do as I have promised.
