My Beautiful Lovely Huntress

A song recently heard in a tavern in Dale, accompanied by a simple, a slow but upbeat tune played on a lute by a foreigner.

The lass I love lives far away,

O'er mountains, through the wood,

How many miles I cannot say,

I’d be there now if I could.

Her skin is pale her hair is red,

Like fire in the evening light,

I only wish to be in bed,

Beside her on this very night.

Her eyes they glisten pale and blue,

Each a bright and dazzling star,

To be with her what I would do,

Is fight every beast near and far.

Her garb is green her bow is long,

Her arrows sharp for piercing men,

Her laughter is a summers song,

I wish to hear it once again.

How we fought against the thieves,

To collect her bow and break some knees,

They searched all night beneath the leaves,

Whilst we were loving beneath the trees.

Untamed and wild she is a fox,

She's lived so long in the woods alone,

I'd often search for coppery locks,

In the forest that she likes to roam.

I loved her then I love her now,

She's the only woman that I miss,

To make it back to her I vow,

My beautiful lovely huntress Narys.
