Plans and pastries

Back at the bakery. Again. Well, I need bread for eating and Owena's charming company is certainly not to be sneezed at! She suggested adding honey to my bacon. 'Tis not a mixture I've tried before, but where is the harm? I'll give it a go in the morning.

I stayed far longer than I had intended, but I'm glad that I did. The questions she asked of me, I answered as honestly as I could and that, I think, encouraged her to answer mine in turn. She admitted harbouring more than a friendly liking for Loakee. A "crush" as she put it.

I can understand that. The man is certainly charming when he's not being a childish arse. He's handsome and well-built, and haven't I already said that I think they'd make a lovely couple? Still, a small part of me was a little disappointed to learn that, even if he and I do find ourselves on friendlier terms again, there will be naught more than that. Though he told me that he is courting no one and has no plans to do so, still I can't make things more difficult for dear Owena than they already are. I won't. They will come together or they won't, but I will not be the one to distract him from the possibility.

I advised her to make her move. I still think that the man is reluctant to leave. Perhaps, if he knows he has something - someone to return to, he might convince his brother that they should do so? Certainly, a relationship between two people is difficult enough and only made harder when one half spends so long upon the road, but perhaps, if they really want it to work, they can do better than Eordion and I managed.

In the meantime, she has enlisted my aid with the formulation of an unrelated plot. Haritha and Ethynn arrived just in time to add their ideas.

I must admit, I'm finding myself rather liking that pair. He remains a little too stoic for my tastes, but she is a delight! She had some wonderful ideas...

To see Owena's plans done, I have two tasks to complete. The first will be easy enough. A quick jaunt to the woods, a little bit of gathering and it will be done. It should take no more than an hour or two. 'Tis the second task that may prove more troublesome. I'll do my best nonetheless!

But first, a quick run into Bree to secure something of my own.
