Second Letter to Brynleigh

Dearest Brynleigh,

Another day has passed, and I wish there were a means for you to reply. I fought a troll today. It was a huge, brutish thing. Easy to outsmart, dodge, and shove a spear through his heart.

I know not why I mentioned that. To tell the truth, it has been yet another day since I began this letter. I had intended to continue with my thoughts on the matter while spending the night at Redhorn Pass. However, upon reaching the pass, I found a Miss Adriellyn and a Mister Leoffrith camping in the pass. They were nice enough to allow me to share in their fire, and we shared mead and a meal. I was quite surprised to learn that Mister Leoffrith was from Hookworth, and is apprenticed to you as well! I did remember you mentioning him, but only after we had talked for an hour or so. I felt so embarrassed. We camped together for the night, and Mister Leoffrith agreed to send you this letter. They are both quite lovely people, and I look forward to meeting them both again upon my return.

How are you? I know it is futile to ask, as you cannot reply until I have reached the Mark, and even then, it shall be some time. I cross Redhorn Pass tomorrow, after the meats I will need for the journey have been prepared. I shall write to you again in Lothlorien.

You are ever-present on my mind, my friend.

With love

Firithain
