Intercepted
Lomiphell, Calagand, Cherawyn, and Ryton stayed while Avaru and the rest continued on towards Draugmir. While Ryton was not of the original group, he seemed more interested in the safety of the others who stayed, as well as the relic Daltor gave Cherawyn, more than joining Avaru – though his true purpose and mission has been left unknown to the others. Cal, Ryton, and Cherry go on ahead towards Ost Guruth, hoping to potentially learn more about the mysterious item, no doubt meant to help them get the axe and the item bound within, if they were to. Cal, having met Radagast in Ost Guruth before in his old travels with Edhelfaron, hopes to try his luck in talking to the Brown Wizard once they arrive, if he is there that is.
On the road, however, they are met once more by the grey-clad traveler, who had left the inn many days prior, seemingly heading south. Archers shoot from afar, swiftly killing two out of the three horses, the arrows well-placed. Ryton – still mounted – heads towards the archers, quickly slaying all except one. After a few back and forths of Ryton on his white steed, with Cherry running far away (only to be greeted by another group of foes), Calagand is soon found unconscious from his brief fight with Melsulvon the grey warrior, leaving Ryton alone to duel him, his own steed finally shot down. The fight is stopped before there is a victor, as both step back, having received their own bloody wound – Melsulvon proving to be practically a match for Ryton the Valiant. They agree to separate, Melsulvon claiming he had gotten what he came for, with Ryton actually letting him go without further battle. Cal and Ryton later find Cherry, alive but somewhat wounded, the boxed relic taken.
