Liffey's Drabbles - Entry 5

It has been an age and a day since I have had the time to sit down and write down my thoughts.

Sedryn and I traveled to Nen Harn and camped for a while, and we discovered a mysterious box with runes on it. We weren't sure how to open it, it had some sort of weird lock, and so we sought out the advice and expertise of two dwarves, Blid and Maddoct. We didn't seek them out specifically, but they just so happened to be in the Pony one day and we decided to ask them. Wingate was brought up in conversation, briefly, and I worried that Blid was the dwarf I yelled at so many weeks go when that man beat up Reily. I cannot recall, and he does not seem to remember me.

We finally got around to taking a look at the box sometime later. We all sat around a table and I was finally able to work out the password that opened the box from the dwarven alphabet and the numbers around the lock. The numbers, when correlating with the letters in the dwarven alphabet, spelled out the word star. Or rats, but it was star. It finally opened, and we saw other small little boxes inside and a scrap of paper. But by that time, we had been working for long and we were so tired that we decided to save the small boxes for another day.

Sedryn has spoke of accompanying me to my next trip to Ost Guruth. I leave soon, escorting a caravan. I would love to show him why I love the Lone Lands so much while everyone else thinks it is so dreadful there.
