To The Forsaken Inn, Hopefully Forwarded

Bíld son of Bóurr to Miss Liffey loving greeting, though tearful to hear your misfortune.

I read of your heroism with pride; you are an excellent Woman, and I wonder, if that unborn child should be a daughter, if she will be raised with the tale of a heroine to inspire her. Yet while I am glad that you bought victory with no more than cracked ribs, I grieve that you did; I know how painful those are, how annoying the recovery.

I suspect that, letters taking time as they do, you have already decided whether to call for Maddoct or not. I strongly hope that you did, for you know his caring nature; and more than that, no matter how busy, he would choose always to leap to the aid of a friend as important as you.

Your company I miss and would indeed have enjoyed here in the Valley, but like you I am glad you accompanied Master Sedryn. We are all very well and my studies progress better than I hoped. When next we meet, perhaps I will be singing in Sindarin!

I am honored to remain,
Yours faithfully,
B
