Neighbours

I met one of the people that I've tracked in the woods the other day. She had a spear, a hound named Fang and barely spoke at all - simple words, much like a child or one from a primeval tribe would. We spoke, not at length, but enough. She is kind and nice, in a... somewhat naive way. Other than her troubles with some local trappers, I have learned that there is a "clan" of people living on the edge of Chetwood, roughly where I found the tracks the other day. Apparently they are the "hound" clan, which would explain Fang, assumedly more of them have those (including someone with a "wolf-tamed" hound... I feel uncertain how to take that) - and they supposedly speak better than she does. Not that it was too troubling to understand her, but some words eluded the woman as she tried to answer my questions.
Something I can relate to, given I fail to find a word to describe the relation between me and Silver. We are friends now, but what were we before? Not rivals, but that is the only word I can think of that is remotely close.

Regardless of that, I have asked the woman to rely that I wish to speak with these "woodmen" as she called them, to learn their culture. At the very least, I know they are woodsfolk through and true, so I shan't need to fear a forest fire. They try to resettle wolves that come too close to the logging grounds in Combe - how are they planning to do that, I am uncertain, though she spoke of tricks of the trade taught to them by a "brown man". Did she mean a dunlending? They are dim of skin sometimes.
I shall have to prepare for a meeting with them and potentially, write a message to them should I meet this woman again. I shan't speak her name, for I am unsure whether the one she gave me was true or a taken name, like Woad is for me. With one of her mind, it could be either way.
My gift for Silver is ready as well. I shall give it to her soon.
