Daphne always felt out of place with people...but ever so much more in this finery around her. "Come in, dearie," the elderly woman had said, when Daphne had simply been bringing the weekly supply of goat's milk.
She had to endure sitting in such a fine room, listening to the woman speak of her entire life. The poor child had no idea how to handle such a situation.
