It is one of my last nights here, with Silver, where I have found that sadness will go with me as I leave.. Despite my sickness I have found dear comfort in her company and without her near it is strange. As if my back is now exposed. I can not stay longer.. She deserves peace which means not a brother to concern for but focus on her bread and withering in her chair.
My first night back to town.. I met a scholar, a blonde woman of my age. Ripe in appearance and kinder to heart. I know this to be true as she is of pure innocence and dared to stop a Haradric man from a brawl.. Even if I wouldn't win it with as weak as I am.. I would have done my best. Yet she stayed my hand, held arm and I could tell Silver appreciates such.
The place was crowded. Too crowded, it is great to see the town lively again but so many.. I felt as dizzy already and I almost lost my balance. But not a true grievance. I found one Haradi woman and one Umbaran man among the company. Silver deems them untrustworthy and rude. Ofcourse, I would not think them to be of the South if they were not so in a way. I have lived here for years upon years, molded into the Bree-Landish customs to remain absent of attention (with failures upon failures) and I need to make sure their pride does not get them killed.. Really? Rahvic? Not even a day, not a single day and you already have your hands deep into other people's affairs.. I should let it go.
I long to see Cyriah again and I hope the same will be on her mind. Only to have met her for a day, I most certainly know I will see more of who she really is in given time.. I will not let myself be caught by another 'Ivy' ever again. This time I need to make sure who I am handling with lest to take a beating from my dearest sister.
All in all, I saw a Dwarf being beaten to the floor with a tankard on the back of his head. A man charge into a chair only to be shot in the leg after. Seeing not two, not three, but four Haradric brethren and sisters under the same roof! Having shared stories and names with some, seeing spit fly to others and as always.. I am right inbetween.
