Liffey's Drabbles - Entry 11

Even though I know it to be silly, I keep looking for mail from Blid, even though I only sent off the letter a few days ago, and I am sure that his company has moved further on now and will take a long time to reach him. Still, every time I see someone pass by the house outside, I get excited and poke my head out the window, hoping that it's a courier here to deliver mail. It never is, and I slump back in my chair and spend the rest of the day gazing out the window.

The house does look much cleaner now, and Caein helped me move a table inside my kitchen. I've taken a big liking to him, we spent quite a bit of time together yesterday and today, before we finally parted this morning when I had to go to the market, and I think he had his own errands to run in Bree. I can't remember the last time I had someone over to my home, I'm pretty certain it's when the dwarves stopped by to give me that bottle of wine.

My thoughts are scattered and I will be glad when I join the caravan going to Ost Guruth in a few days. Riding back home always clears my mind and gives me a new perspective to see things. And, hopefully, I will have a little more to discuss with him when I return.
