| Location: | Fenmarch, Eastfold, West Rohan |
Event details:

Winter comes first to Fenmarch, the town’s saying goes. The poor fools in Forlaw probably take affront to that, but the simple matter is Fenmarch is still the most easterly settlement in West Rohan. When dawn sprawls across the landscape, shadowed by the distant ridge of the East Wall, it reaches Fenmarch first. The marsh willows shiver with the first bitter winds, and the sun leaves it first as it stretches over Edoras and sinks down past the Isen.
So summer is celebrated with vigor in the Eastfold. The eve of Midsummer, the shortest night of the year, the people of Fenmarch gather in the streets to bask shamelessly in the sweltering marsh. It is a night of revels, of bonfires lit on the outskirts of town to chase away foul vapors, of swimming in the shallow, cool pools, and of love. No one sleeps, and song fills the lungs and air.
It is a night when all are welcome, when people greet neighbor and stranger alike, and all are merry. Come join us.

5:00pm
Arrivals
((aka predrinking, prep))
All folk of the Mark are welcome to Fenmarch from near and far. Travellers, make haste to the stables, and bring coin for the stablekeep, that your horse may be settled to see the night through.
6:00pm
Celebration
Join us outside under the willows, on the north side of the mead hall. Ale, and mead, and summer wine will be in plenty, and roasted game to feast, and more. Come in armour if you choose, but Fenmarch is well guarded, and the cool waters are tempting on a midsummer's eve. And discarded attire goes missing.
