Rolling hills and peacful sounds. Bucklands first greeting was the Brandwine bridge. Cwenawynn riding up beside Mildwynn, they had finally made it there, the others would join them soon. She was happy, and the pair made a camp by the river not far from the bridge to wait for the others to show. In the evening Ryheric appeared. Cwennie was resting so the pair took a ride. A quick look at the beginning of the old forest, and his talking of his venture into it on the other side with Cwennie and Lavandara, had her a little jealous she hadnt been there for the excitement of it, but worried also at just how dangerous this place might really be. Rella had been warning her only the night before never to venture in, and the little she saw of it now she could see why she did, but she was all the more curious also. Perhaps if she understood more, and was stronger, but it would take a team, not a place for just a handful of people clearly.
Heading back out they stopped by some mushrooms to talk, it wasnt often they got to talk. Slowly she was starting to get to know this man more. A deep man who had managed to gather together a strange assortment of people with vastly different skills. A street urchin, the wilds woman, the stable hand, the farmer, the veteran treasure hunter, the ex guard, and the apprentice healer. Such a varient of skills, such differences, and potential. It was impressive, she couldnt help but admire that, it showed signs of leadership, something she could respect and wanted to support, one of the reasons she had researched the battle cries for him and now helped him along a little with his reading. Silver had been doing a great job with his reading and writing, but he was eager to learn quicker and not wanting to push too fast so she helped him a long a little more, figuring between the two of them he would do well.
Silver and Scanie soon joined them, she had not met Scanie before and became self concious eating the mushrooms in front of her but soon relaxed a little realising she was more a tomboy than herself. Silver a person she was becoming more relaxed around. Silver was a woman she was finding more respect for each time she met. She was far from ladylike, but she knew herself, and that was something Winnie enjoyed about her, that and her natural adaptability. By the end of the evening it was just down to Silver and Winnie, the two talking, the more time she spent with this woman the more comfortable she was becoming with her. There was something about her that was ease, no pretense, no need to feel uncomfortable. It wasnt always easy around other women, there was this uncertain sense about how she might need to behave, or perhaps she was just becoming more comfortable with herself. She looked to where Scanie went, she wasnt as tomboy at her, she wasnt as worldly at Silver, she wasnt as ladylike as Lavandara. Somehow all of these women were all so different. It made her realise, she didnt need to be like every other woman, there was no right way to be, she just needed to be her, but to remember what Ry had warned also.
