If one were to ask Ambryd to describe himself, he would scratch his head, shrug, and likely say something along the lines of "I have never.. Considered the idea."

Standing at a surprisingly short 5'0", Ambryd has a head of fluffy, dark brown hair, absolutely ruined by wind and travel. As much of a mess it is, he keeps a braid on the right side, for no reason he is willing to explain. His skin is a warm, slightly lighter shade of brown, dusted with freckles all over, though one would rarely see the ones past his face. Completing his facial features are a pair of bright blue eyes, a vertical scar on the right eye.

The rest of his body is hard to decipher, as the man rarely is seen out of armor. At the least, one can expect to see the typical build of a young man in his twenties, especially one just starting out in the greater world, determined to make a name for himself, no matter how difficult or ridiculous that task may seem.

Background

Ambryd was born to a woman of Dale and a man of Bree, his older sister set to inherit their family farm. His mother came from a noble family who ran away to be with his father- Or at least that was what she told her two children, constantly. Perhaps it was simply a way for her to lord over them the importance of perception, or perhaps a way to berate them when they embarrassed her with their childish conduct.

Regardless of, it inspired the younger of the two to disappear into the night without a trace.

Considering Ambryd didn't go far, one might assume that his family would be fully aware of the boy's disappearance; but this assumption would be incorrect. Upon running off, Ambryd quickly took another name, and cut his hair short. The family searched for him only for a week, before deciding that one less mouth to feed was an acceptable gift in return. If they were aware now, they'd made no effort to reconnect, and certainly not out of respect of his decision.

While Ambryd has no luxuries of a permanent bed or steady meals, he pays it no mind. In his mind, it is far more important that he remains in power over himself. The stories of heroes and strangers across the continent intrigued him the most, though the bits he heard were from a thousand different mouths, warped by the time they reached him. But it was enough, in the end, to inspire him to attempt to become another name in the taverns, a name for books and legends and plaques!

He, of course, said this in a drunken haze, but no one was about to stop him.

Currently, his only real claim to fame is.. Eating a lot of pie.
