With the opening of the path in The Wildwood to Trader's Warf and the persistent mildness of spring, Wisterhya is convinced to take the risk and invest in the securing of the trading route to High King's Crossing in Evendim. A mission that was attempted the year prior to a mediocre result, following a bandit attack and subsequent looting of the goods. A message was received over winter by the client, that a minor bandit camp was discovered. It hosts less than 9 people and appears to pose less of a threat than originally assumed. Wisterhya hung a note in Bree-town, requesting the employment of mercenaries. A good amount of folk came to her, but she was not shy in turning those away who lacked proper temperament and skill. In the end, she settled for the four most elite mercenaries (referred by her as independent guardsmen) for the company.
The initial plan is as follows: to guard a caravan with pipe-weed and escort it over the Brandywine by Trader's Warf to the client by High King's Crossing. The company will be split up, travelling quarter of a mile ahead and behind the wagon. Once the goods are handed over, the company will make camp in the hills and drive away the bandits from the area. Almost too easy, Wisterhya thought.
A generic letter to be sent to the 8 persons hired for the caravan patrol and security efforts,(C. P. S. E.):
"Dear ______,
You are cordially invited to the briefing meeting regarding the employment of The Rosethorn Estate. The meeting shall take place at seven o'clock in the Scholar's Hall of Bree-Town. You are bid to meet on the western balcony, that is to turn left upon entering the hall. I serve refreshments but no meal. Consider keeping notes of possible questions you desire to raise during the meeting. Be prepared to sign the final contract.
I look forward to seeing you,
Sincerly Wisterhya Rosethorn"
((I am still welcoming players to this event. IM me if you have an interest and we'll discuss possibilities for involvement.))
