Songs and poetry: Legend of Dagor Dagorath, a dwarf version

They say we are stone, they say we are dust

But like Earth’s heart, our hearts are of fire

Untouched by fatigue by bluntness or rust

Our spirits are of strong steel and ire

The fire within us, the fire within you

Twin fires requiring one spark

Alike they await, unextinguished and true,

To burn once again, bright pyre in the dark

Our weapons and shields will sing once again

Someday in that future now blurred,

Our fated task to have the enemy slain

And then the remake of the world

That fated day come, we’ll rise from stone seat,

Awaken our wrath and our powers.

We’ll know no restrain, no doubt, no defeat

That day the last fight will be ours!
