Outward Appearance

The first thing you notice about Lotherwen must be her size: She's 185 finger wide, tall even for a Rohíril. Her stature is muscular, clearly she must work a physical profession. Her Straw-blonde Hair is usually tied up or cut short, never in her face or hiding her blue eyes. Her face could be described as masculine with rough skin, disfigured by the scar from open flames that burnt the left half of it, from the cheekbone right up to the eye, which thankfully stayed intact. The colorful texture of the old scar tissue may be frightening to some.

Voice:
Lotherwens voice is deep and humming. She's picked up Breetown slang, but still rolls the R as many Rohirrim do and has an audible accent.

Background

Lotherwen is originally from Rohan, where she lived with her parents, both Gondorians. Herself being a tall woman of blonde hair and fair skin was a clear indicator that she might be another man's daughter, leading to her father never quite accepting her as his own. At age eight, she lost both home and mother in a house fire, thus becoming responsible for all the housework. Dissatisfied with the life of a homemaker and caretaker of her father, whose violent outbursts got her injured more than just once, she eventually left her home at age thirteen. In the nearby city of Aldburg she met a band of mercenaries. They offered her ale and a bed in their rented room, eventually taking her with them to do exactly what she did before: Do laundry and prepare meals for the mercs. Again dissatisfied with her life, she taught herself some fighting skills. The mercenaries picked up on it and a discussion among them started, whether Lotherwen should be trained or expelled. Not wanting to abandon the young girl in the midst of the rohirric fields, they chose to allow her to train by herself. Some aided her in her moves and even sparred with her, eventually making her a useful combatant. She became a valuable asset to the mercenary company, proving most adept with the usage of spears and javelins. She did not just adopt the profession, though, but the mannerisms, too!

Both professions and mannerisms lasted to this day, giving her the duality of both a disciplined and well-skilled combatant or guard at day and every now and then a doxie-chasing drunk at night, hollering at whomever dares to come too close, picking fights with the men and picking up the women.
