Living Well - Anniversary Toast

To a mortal, a year can seem an eternity or a moment, depending on one's state of mind. For me, it has fled by too quickly. I have often pleaded for the sun to slow, so that I may have more of Us, mell bereth, You, and I, and now our blessed Bainiel. Of course, the bright and warm life giver pays no heed, and I am left with the determination to Live Each Day, repeatedly, for as many as I will have, loving you both fully.

The Elven wedding tradition requires no spoken words between the bride and groom. A simple exchange of rings under the blessings offered by those who stand for us and with us, then a feast to celebrate our marriage, song and dance, and much laughter before our retreat to the privacy of our joining, where our hearts beat together and declare our unspoken vows. It is a sacred moment that we have frequently repeated, and in these renewals of our vows we invited our daughter to come forth to us.

Your House, our home, has grown with the fullness of our marriage, and stands now strong with the hearts and minds of our chosen kin, and all of it due to Your inspiration and our devotion to You and thus to all of us. I would not be the Mortal man that I am without you, nor would this House be the happy and prosperous dwelling.

And so, I toast You, Seregrian, Your Ladyship, Mell Bereth, Mira Mamil, Melon Nin, the wellspring of my own glorious Fate, and the maker of our worthy House, Bar-en-Acharn.

Cuio Mael! Live Well!
