What does it all come down to? Love? Love.
Liffey left Sedryn in the morning, dressing and slipping out just as the sun began to cast a morning glow over Mossward. She followed directions that had hastily been scribbled on a piece of parchment from Sera Brightweed, when Liffey had lied about forgetting something and then ducked back inside the healer's shop the night before.
Following the little note's guidance, Liffey tucked it back into her robe when she spotted the creaking sign hanging over the jeweler's small shop. She pushed the door open and stepped inside, her strides taking her purposefully to the counter. "Hello," she greeted, placing a pouch on the counter in front of her. "Miss Brightweed said that I could have a couple of necklaces made here."
Before leaving Herne, Liffey had purchased two polished Dwarf-crystals from the traveling merchant Haldrisa, small enough to be strung onto two necklaces. They cast a faint teal glow when she dumped them into her hand from the pouch, holding them out to the jeweler.
She returned later in the evening, collecting the two stones that had been hung on two separate necklaces. Collecting them in her palm, she gazed down at them with as much awe as she had when she purchased them outside of the Crossway House. Thanking the jeweler and depositing the second half of her payment, Liffey very carefully strung one of the necklaces around her neck, tucking it underneath her robes. She stowed the other away in a small drawstring leather pouch.
As she headed back to where she'd left Sedryn earlier that day, she wondered vaguely if Aivilin had been able to buy those arrowheads she'd wanted.
