The members of the Warband gathered in Imladris answering the call of their leader Elisbeth Starfire. Once the riders were assembled Elisbeth spoke about why she recalled them to Imladris. It seemed that the Lord of Imladris himself was concerned with possible threat to the protected valley itself from the south in the direction the fellowship of the ring had gone in. He had requested to speak with the Lady Elisbeth and had asked of her to direct her chosen warrior to investigate this news. Both also agreed that the sight of the warband wearing the colours of Imladris openly as they patrolled the pathways would offer confidence in those who chose to make Imladris and the surrounding area their home.
Thus with her intentions passed onto the warband warriors did they collect their steeds and steadily make their way up the winding slope out of the gates of Imladris. The warriors gait was a steady one, several stopped to gaze upon the assembled warband as it was not often so many were seen all in the same regalia within the borders of Imladris.
Once into the wilds the pace of the warband picked up as the warriors urged their mighty steeds into a canter, and soon the gates of Imladris were out of sight. An eagle over head observed the passing of the riders as a dust cloud being raised by the hooves of the steeds of the immortal warriors. It watched them for some time until they began to descend towards the Bruinen its gaze distracted by a field shrew darting for cover.
As the riders came within sight of the great river they were hailed by warriors in the livery of Imladris most un-expectantly. The lead warrior garbed in light armour and armed with the traditional composite bow bid greeting to the lead warriors of the warband and informed them that Lord Elronds son Elrohir was nearby with a few of their company. The warbands company dismounted and were directed to Lord Elrohir and his lead warriors. It was noted at this point that Lord Khalis was noticed to have a great smile upon his face at seeing his old commander and comrade Lord Elrohir. It was known by some in the warband that Lord Khalis had rode with both brothers in his younger days as a way warden, and that he always spoke of both with great admiration. Lords Elrohir and Khalis greeted each other like long lost relatives, and then Lord Elrohir with all his courtly graces greeted the Lady Elisbeth fondly. Even Lord Tagos always one to keep out of politics did not escape the friendly gaze and greetings of Lord Elrohir.
Lord Elrohir smiles upon the warbands company and then said it was most fortuitous that they had encountered each other for they were soon to deal with a small number of the enemy who were trying to press towards Imladris. They could join forces to deal with this threat efficiently and swiftly, and thus the two companies joined together to once more remind the enemy that Imladris was forever under strong protection and no forays across its borders would be tolerated.
The fast flowing Bruinen soon washed away all evidence of any conflict, but sadly a few of Lord Elrohirs company had fallen during the battle. These would be taken back to Imladris where the traditional rites would be carried out. Thus it came time for the two companies to go their separate ways.
