Journal entry 206. A delivery to Hobbiton, the Shire.

Journal entry 206. A delivery to Hobbiton, the Shire.

Once more I´ve taken the road west, sadly again with an encounter with a few scoundrils whom sought to relieve me of my coin and clothes. This time near the Brandy hills. Luckally for a change I decided to take the road not alone, or unarmed for that matter. The caravan on wich I traveled along, (Luckally free due to the fact that I had offered to assist the already accounted hired blades to scare off any blasted scum.) was luckally was well equipped to deal with it. Cursed on that foul mongrol that wrecked my lute during the assault..

Despite the odd encounter and the foul weather, (as usually) the travel was fairly pleasant since the merchants did travel fast. Most likely due to the carts, I believe they would have been relieved once we´ve setted foot at our detination. Aswell as the fact of a rather amusing hobbit of whom I frequently exchanged words with to pass the time on the road, and during our stops we often amused ourselves with exchanging the lyrics we´ve picked up in the past. I must say, the music of our little friends is quite something, simple yet merry.

Luck was favoring me appearantly since the fact that it took me little time to locate the merchant in hobbiton. Since I located him at a locall in wich name I sadly cannot recall, I will admit the fact that I was slightly.. Drunk at the given time. However I did manage to arrange the numerous hides to be sent to the in where I had arranged a room the following morning. For a fairly decent price at that.

As fate presented it´s nose again, Once more I´ve traveled with that hobbit mentioned before onto the road back to bree. Luckally without interruptions of a couple of ill mannered scoundrils. (Perhaps the five soldiers clad in steel and armed with sword and spear alike had something to do with this matter.)
