Fikta's Tomb
Beannaithe felt as cold as the tomb in which they'd laid her pabbi. Dwarves, ye see, don't bury their dead in the ground like we Hobaid ("Hobbit Folk"). Instead they lay 'em to rest between two slabs of stone.
Beannaithe now regretted havin' never learnt to read the Angerthas runes, like those that were engraved on the tomb's stone lid. She thought the words might bring her comfort and, more importantly, be an endurin' tribute to the old Dwarf she knew and loved.
She feared that the kind-hearted Dwarf with whom she'd spent ten years of her young life would soon be forgotten, as were likely true of the Dwarves entombed nearby.
