As they prepare for their journey to Moria during their stay in Rivendell, the Dwarves of the Dwarven Caravan Market are given various gifts from a certain Felaforn. The last of these appropriately mysterious gifts is a wooden dagger made of mallorn wood. As soon as Frimsi hears this, he instantly recognizes how valuable such a dagger could be. But the other Dwarves want to test how strong it is. Frimsi begs them to be careful and not break it. Remarkably, the dagger was able to dent a Dwarven shield, and much to Frimsi's relief it did not break in the process.
