Diary of Cyfier - 7. The Unspoken Word.

Once I was part of this circle I began to learn one thing, that I had learnt nothing at all. This circle, Avasa it was so called, was vast and grand. It could afford to ban its name from its members lips, their code told them never to speak the word. In all its history nobody ever had spoken it, infact its knowledge to offers was a miracle indeed. Avasa was so grand, the people within made from legend itself, in all my life I have known nothing to compare its quality and this the basis of my current plots. We lived like kings and I was truely at a place I called home, the only time in all my years I was able to do so. Each day had work that needed doing, the contracts or beatings, blood spilled over and over and its velvet red lured me in each time.

We robbed merchants for fun, cattle was our lunch and the streets of Bree our playground to which we ruled, the guards did nothing to stop us, for they knew the source of their own wages and had known others to appear in lake days later for their questions. Emmelin and I ran through the streets causing mayhem whenever we grew bored of fighting in the Pony, Much to the displeasure of lady Cymaru, head of Barliman Butterbur’s staff. She never did say much our way, but there was a clear sign that our violent displays caused disliking. Everything we did, we did for the joy of it and within the strict code the circle upkept and swore me by when i first knelt to them.

Sometimes we were fortunate enough to have company from others in the circle, but never really those I craved it from. Jack for example, the beast behind the barrels, Emmelin would whisper me tales of his deeds, throwing a man from a waterfall still makes me smile.
Esclyn, her attention was almost devine, I would call her the black widow, for the men were always her prey.

Then Eovad, Siward and Sywyn. Eovad the warrior with his famed Stag helm, Siward who later on enslaved me through a passed on contract and Sywyn master of shadows with all kinds of poisons and potions up their sleeves. Enirol was around but often not seen, he was a great friend to me and I still respect the man, but for his ability to hide, he just one day disappeared. Glomwick the dwarf, how he raged in my direction often, never sat to long either.
Later joined Delinor and Irrianiya, I Wasn’t ever to sure on Delinor’s role but she was pleasing to the eye and later became a toy for me to play with. So keen to be involved in plots, she was blinded to the fact that often she was the plot. Irrianiya was just the maid back then, an image I still remind her of, she is bitter now and has rose well above her station. These are just to name a few and many more names could be said here but these names I do mention had some inspiration towards me, or later returned with some kind of offerring.

But all the while we were enjoying our time. The Sentinals bold enough to try and face us away, we always laughed it off, the gentlemen Germin was always one step behind and i took such joy in his torment over it. At that point, we thought nothing would hinder us.
