Introduction
Khalis stood next to Lord Elrond on the balcony within the Homely House. Lord Elrond was reading over the report the Warband had delivered regarding the Gaunt Lord who was found and slain on an ice mountain in the bay near Suri Kyla.
Lord Elrond spoke " Please pass on my congratulations for the warbands work in northern Forochel Khalis, the actions of the warband are commendable indeed. The Lossoth with i am sure be thankful they sent word to Imladris seeking our help."
He took up an ornate scroll tube and handed it to Khalis. "I would have wished to hand this to the Lady Elisbeth but in her absence as one of her Cauns i am happy to give this to you Lord Khalis. This scroll bestows an honour upon the warband of Lady Elisbeth. It shallbe known as the First 'Primus' Warband among the defenders of Imladris. The actions of your Maethor with regards to all matters presented to them has been exemplary. Congratulations!"
Khalis inclined his head upon hearing the words of his Lord, a broad smile on his face for the hard work of the warbands Maethor being recognised.
Lord Elrond looking from the ceremonial scroll to the report given to him by his Captain then looked directly into the eyes of Khalis, " I know you have not had much time to rest but i would ask that you take some of your warriors and turn your attention to our northern borders."
As he spoke his brow furrowed.
" The whispers on the wind from the north is that old troubles re emerging in the far reaches of the mountains along our northern borders. I would ask that you lay these rumours to rest, or indeed seek out the truth of them."
Pondering the words of his Lord and turning his thought to them he inclined his head gently in his usual manner and gave the simple reply,
"It shall be done mylord".
With that Khalis, Captain in the First Warband of Imladris headed out of his Lords house and made his way to the Warbands Great Hall to speak with the other Cauns and the Maethor,Sil, the glimmering tube carrying the scroll of recognition gripped firmly in his right hand.
