((YAY! I found a way to finally embed music to my stuff using youtube videos! :D Anyway, this is a nice piece from Alkindi, an arabic music composer. I use this piece only for private non-profit purposes, no copyright intended ^^))
The Story begins with Daerundros falling asleep near Minyelaírë and having a strange dream which takes place in Selem, a city of the Haradrim in Harad near Mordor.
It seemed as though Daerundros's vision was lifted from the eternal black she had been peacefully slumbering in as she fell onto a white marble floor, the walls draped with the colors of purple and red. Bewildered, Daerundros looked around. It appeared as though she was in a palace of some sort. There were golden statues in the room, and before her stood a majestic throne, draped in purple and red, and there was a red carpet leading to it. Daerundros blinked, yet someone spoke from the distance, as she tried to leave the circular room.
"Dance, Beauty, enchant us." Someone called in Haradaic. Daerundros immediately complied, though she knew not why. She began moving in rythimic and slow circles, swaying her hip back and forth. Although her body was complying to the mysterious person's voice, in her thoughts she was surprised and aware of her now exotic clothing.
Daerundros became conscious of her attire: She was wearing purple pants poofed at the ankles, and simple flats curled at the toes. She wore naught but a purple bra with sleeves that came down to midway of her upper arm, and she wore a concealing veil of purple. Her short hair was adorned in wondrous ornaments, and combed neatly into something simple, concealing the pointed Elf ears, and from both her shoulders to her hands, one end attached to the sleeve and the other to rings on her middle fingers, where floaty veils of white.
Following the rhythimic movement of strange strumming and instruments, soon she was aware that she was not the only one dancing in this strange palace. Beside her stood someone slightly shorter than her, flaming reddish-burgundy hair to be seen as this maiden moved back and forth in almost the same manner as Daerundros, though more enchanting and wild. She was clad in the exact gear as her, though this maiden was clothed golden, perhaps indicating that she surpassed Daerundros' dance skill herself.
Turning to competition, Daerundros swiftly decided to control her movement, combining some of the Noldorin dances with the Haradaic steps she was performing, and the result was a maiden dancing enchantedly and beautifully, grace and fluidness to be seen in her swift steps. The other maiden, face concealed under her golden veil, simply continued dancing and moving in circles, as Daerundros moved in a circle around her. Her beauty and shined more than Daerundros' ever did. Jealous, Daerundros tried to see through this mysterious maiden as she swayed in circles around her, gritting her teeth as she tried her best to outdance the maiden, but she simply outshone Daerundros no matter the efforts.
The music was finished, and clapping was heard from somewhere, though the palace remained empty. Daerundros sighed however. Should she take her veil off, and reveal her Elven face? However, before she could do so, the maiden next to her bowed respectfully and took her veil off. Daerundros gasped.
Those same scars, markings...
Minyelaírë stood before her, enchantingly mysterious and smiling at Daerundros, widely, "Sister... you look beautiful.". The music started again, this time more lively, and both Minyelaírë and Daerundros started dancing again, covering their faces with the veils, this time as sisters and not rivals.
"Where are we?" Daerundros whispered.
"In the palaces of Serem." Minyelaírë whispered back, "Dancing to the music as Sharisad and Ahmad'sunni."
Hand in hand they dance, twirling with their arms outstreched as their veils flew in circles. They transcended into a show of beautiful acrobatic moves together as the rhythimic music flew through the halls, like a bird.
There was more cheering to be heard as Daerundros and Minyelaírë bowed to one another. Glancing at an archway to a balcony, Daerundros saw that they were indeed in a city of the Haradhrim. There thousands of Mud-bricked houses in the landscape before them, under the starry sky, and far far off, Daerundros could see, were endless dunes of sand, gleaming under Moonlight.
They were indeed in Harad, Daerundros thought, and she smiled as she continued dancing, swaying to and fro with Minyelaírë under the roof of the palace of Serem.
