Disappearances in the South

Rumours have been passing through the camps and villages in the south of large numbers of men, women and children http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.php?423631-RP-Initiative-Slaves-of-Orthanc&s=1f468034283480c65a1f83b9bfe8bfae|going missing of late. Though the watchers put it down to mindless beasts taking this golden opportunity to poach travellers now that the gap through to Rohan has been opened, some people are not quite so easily convinced.

One traveller reported that a large host of tall shadows walked through the night dragging a group of people along on a single chain. Another elderly woman who was part of a passing trade caravan apparently witnessed an ambush, watching as two travellers fought an unknown foe only to be overpowered and taken away into the shadows.

Could these rumours be true? Are innocents being plucked from the road and taken to serve some dark purpose hidden from sight? Though many who venture into the south expect danger this news has put even the bravest of soldiers on edge.
