Autum has arrived and the crops are being harvested. The days grow colder and the nights grow longer. Time for a celebration to keep the spark of merriment alive! So steel your nerves and join us for an evening of dancing, drinks and merriment to celebrate the harvest and the coming winter! Wear your most Attractive Attire, Oddest Outfit or Grim Garb to win a prize!

Event details:

The Autum Ball will have a scary theme. Guests are encouraged to come in costume though this is not mandatory.

The ball will be held at the haunted home of the Mithril Dragon on Tuesday, November 1st at 5 Longstreet, Harcrest, Breeland Homesteads, Laurelin Server.

Starts: Servertime 16:00, British Time 20:00, European Time 21:00

Music will be provided by the following bands: The Chosen Few, The Pied Pipers, The Shades and The Songburrow Strollers.

There will be a competition for those wishing to participate with a prize for the winner in each category. Three categories have been decided on:

  1. Most Attractive Attire (prize Throne of Night housing item plus 2 gold coins)
  2. Most Odd Outfit (prize Broken Throne of Night housing item plus 2 gold coins)
  3. Most Grim Garb (prize Tomb of Night housing item plus 2 gold coins)

If you wish to enter the competition, please contact Whitmore or Fyxe with your character name and the competition category you wish to enter for before the start of the ball at the latest. (That is 20:00 UK time/21:00 European time at the latest.)

Each contestant may enter ONE category.

The contestants will be lined up all together, divided into the three categories on stage after the third band plays and judged by three judges: Cymaru, Cairthain and Whitmore.

One prize will be awarded for each category.

Etiquette:

I welcome all to attend, I merely ask you to observe the following measures:

1. No forced emotes at any time, no festival novelty items that cause people to fall down in a faint or other behaviour that may cause offence or distress to guests.

2. Please smoke outside. The noise can be quite disturbing to those trying to enjoy the music.

First offenders will be warned, after that harsher measures may be necessary. Other than that, wear your finest outfits, bring your best dancemoves and let's have some fun! Should you wish more information about the ball, please contact Fyxe or Whitmore personally.

Dances:

The Autumn festival has started so those wishing to may learn the dances available at the various festival grounds.


These dances are held every twenty minutes at the following venues:
- The Party Tree in the Shire: Oger Brockhouse
- The Thorin's Hall Ale House: Galmi
- Breeland Festival Grounds: Ada Musgrove
- Duillond, Ered Luin: Nedhrien

I find the quests are quite easy to do, though you must remember keep the dance instructor targetted at all times. If you have trouble doing the quests, the following may be of some use:

The following command will place the emote in your first slot on your toolbar(replacing any skill already there but you can put it back easily enough), just run the command then move it to the slot you want on the bar:

Type /shortcut 1 /dance1

Of course change emote for /dance2 & /dance3 (so type /shortcut 1 /dance2 etc)
