The Bree Autumn Ball.

Upon entering the hall, I was struck by the elaborate decoration that had taken place, the mood was set immediately. Creepy looking altars, signs along the walls telling the visitor to turn back while they could… but then there was the inviting sounds of music, dance and banter came in from the door to the main hall, and sure enough, when I passed through, I found myself looking at a sea of people, all moving as one as they danced to the cheerful music provided by one of the performing acts of the evening.
Which brings me to the credits of the entertainment for the evening, expertly provided by: The Chosen Few, The Pied Pipers, The Shades and The Songburrow Strollers. The latter performing a song that made this writer chuckle particularly, about a dog named Ruff.
The performances were briefly interrupted by the elections for the costumes, chosen by the judges miss Cymaru, master Cairthain and master Whitmore:
Most Attractive Attire: This prize went to the Hobbit Primmrose.
Oddest Outfit: Unfortunately, no one had put their name forward for this category, and thus, it was improvised. Due to the tumult of the moment, I did not catch the winner’s name, for that, my apologies!
Most Grim Garb: This prize went to miss Asteldis.
All in all, a most successful event going down, to my knowledge, without so much as an insult or worse. Merriment was the order of the evening and everyone, in unison, kept to this.
The Grey Repository would like to extend a thank you to Lady Fyxe, for giving us the opportunity to bring tidings of her ball, and look forward to the next grand ball to be organized by her and her friends, who helped her set this up. On this note, the lady herself would like to use the opportunity to extend a thank you to the following people;
Master Whitmore for his support.
Haith and Remis for receiving the guests and making them welcome.
Tillie and Miraline for serving the guests and especially Tillie for her moral support.
Cymaru and Cairthain for judging the competition.
The Chosen Few, The Pied Pipers, The Shades and The Songburrow Strollers for their wonderful music.
