...he took my hands, they were warm and he held them steadfast like it was for the last time.
His eyes never looked so clear and deep blue before, and his face looked so soft under this red sky that colored the water red behind us... The tree branches made a soothing sound that built up a tension in the air. I felt slightly uncomfortable and a little nervous...
He began to speak....prepared words that felt so formal and serious. What did he want?
For days ago we decided to leave the valley. Frost covered the lands, and the winter was near.... We left to avoid the dark, harsh and cold nights. There were many to visit, so many we wanted to see. In our hearts we felt that another journey was about to be made soon, a journey that would summon us all and lead us to the west...
We have grown fond of this lands, so many decades has passed by, and many friends and allies has been made. But everything has an end...This journey was not a journey to say farewell, but a journey to gather strong memories and keep them in our hearts for all eternity. In future our paths may cross again or they may not...We would not know..
We made gifts as tokens to remind us to appreciate those we loved, and gifts that would let them remind us when they carried them.....In the valley our families craftmen made strong and beautiful gifts, we blessed them with names as a protection and good luck to those we wanted to give them too. We made 'fire', 'storm', 'wind' and 'walls of ice'.
This were mighty gifts, given to someone that has a great impact in our lives that we know will soon leave their peaceful land, one of the few remaining left...
At the same time, Earinlin prepared another gift....But that I did not know... And when the journey nearly reached our destination, he did something very unexpecting, and the evening was colored red..
