Daerusc Gaerheleth came from Dale. His stepmother had abused him after the death of his father from the early age of 7.  At age nine he killed her in a blind rage by using a sharp kitchen knife to stab out her eyes. He then started working as an amateur killer at age nine, He eventually was found and trained by Invaltir, who was also his uncle, and named Successor of the Brotherhood of Shadows which had been the family guild since the dawn of man. Invaltir had crafted Daerusc a long dagger named Vollare Menyiek. When Invaltir stepped down, Daerusc renamed it The Order of Shadows. The Order split in a massive orc attack, only Daerusc and Edlaniel survived.Edlaniel managed to escape being captive to the orcs, as Daerusc led them elsewhere and was captive for two years, experiencing many kinds of torture and bringing back memories of the past. Soon enough he weaseled his way out of the clutches of the orcs, returning in a months time with vengeance. He then found his way to Bree, in search of Edlaniel where they had agreed to meet at the inn, The Prancing Pony. When he found Edlaniel in Bree, they rekindled the Order of Shadows. After a time, Bree became filled with more and more assassin like guilds, and feeling responsible for the start of such tomfoolery, Daerusc left, planning to return again when things had settled.
