It is clear that Heidwyn is familiar with hard, and long work, her palms are rough with calluses, there is scarring on her left cheek and chin, and her eyes hold a distrust and anger behind the blue-grey storm. She is neither short nor tall, but average at 5'5 and muscled from labor and the drawing of her bow. She bears a confidence about her that is not easily shaken. |

Background
In spite of her dark hair, Heidwyn is a true daughter of Rohan, with all the prejudice against Elves well ingrained. She has a deep fear and misunderstanding of Elf magic, and as such her distrust is strong. According to her mother she had blonde hair until she was in her fifth year when it started to darken.
Heidwyn ran with the local children around her parents home and surrounding lands among the calls of "Changeling" and the teasing as the other children quickly began to out-grow her, there were many fights.
The oldest of three children to a breeder and a baker, Heidwyn dotes on her younger siblings Polwynn and Viktor. Their father, who encouraged Heidwyn in her foot races employed her for a time as a message runner, helping her with the endurance and speed she would need later in life.
Determined, stubborn, and loyal to her family and her home, Heidwyn found skill in bow and axe. Though painfully quick to temper, she will do anything to protect her family and friends.
When she left home for exploratory purposes (get away from the rumors that she was Changeling as they followed her into her early adult life and she was done) it was to her dismay that Polwynn had followed her, uninvited, small buckler on one arm and a borrowed sword on the other. After much scolding, Heidwyn agreed to allow Pol to continue with her, meeting up again with a childhood friend, Beornwuulf (who rather liked to be called Beorn).
Though she spent a time with the Guard of Minas Tirith, once the leader fell in battle, and her friend Tywerd was summoned to a different path she found herself in the position of leadership. Unprepared and feeling more than a little overwhelmed she abandoned her fellows in moment void of pride. They were, she noted, thriving without her and have since found new leadership.
Her path continues, twisting and uncertain as ever, but she travels with her sister in search of... what she doesn't know. But she's full of fire and prepared to do whatever it takes to survive.
