Born in Grimslade, Hraidar is the second son of Ravn and Ingrid. As he grew up, he only wanted to follow on his father footsteps, by riding with his kinsmen and serving Theóden king. Since he is the youngest sibling, he would not inherit the little property his father possessed and thus he would have to make a name and a life for himself.

As he became of age, Hraidar was agile and witty and a skilled rider. Young and proud of his land, he was accepted into Grimbold Thane's éored and rode under his brother Einar.

Yet in his prime, Hraidar asked to be released from his oath to Grimbold's éored and left Rohan for what became ten long years of soujorn, broken hearted in many ways. First, he offered his arms to Gondor and fought there for five years, surviving many battles. When he tired of the South, he left again and spent a few years on the road, surviving as he could. Either by living off the land or by trading pealts and services to traveling merchants.

Hraidar reached the North sometime after and settled in the small village of Pickgrove, near the Chetwood, working occasionally as bounty hunter or doing whatever service he could find. The year spent in the Breelands was prosperous for adventure, coin and friends. And as he started to realized he wanted to return to his homeland, Hraidar started working on increasing his purse so he could return home.

Joining with Wulfreda and her band of warriors to open a tavern, he was able to both get the coin and the company required to travel back South and so they did, arriving first in Stangard. When his friends and companions left the border, he remained as a volunteer and made a name for  himself on the company responsible for safekeeping the Limlight Gorge.
