Armauk's exact origins and real name are not known, hidden, like much of his history, in the shadow of some half-forgotten evil.  The name he is now known by, "Armauk", is actually a word from the Black Speech, meaning "enemy."  As such was he called by the goblins who captured him, and from whom he was rescued by a scouting party of House Thalanduin.  In gratitude to House Thalanduin, Armauk offered his services as a siege engineer to Lord Gerwolf, at a greatly reduced price.  Now he serves House Thalanduin primarily as a siege engineer, but also as a light skirmisher in the field.

Armauk will sometimes go into a blood rage in battle, throwing aside all reason and charging at the enemy like a madman.  Fortunately, when he is using a bow, the blood rage comes out as a strangely powerful form of concentration instead.  No-one is sure why.

((Current rp:))  Recently, Armauk was injured in a skirmish with orcs in northern Breeland.  He went into a blood rage while wielding a longsword and kite shield, and broke formation to charge after the retreating orcs.  Unfortunately, he slipped in a pool of orc blood, and the orcs turned to pile onto him.  He survived because of the high quality plate armor of House Thalanduin which he was wearing, and Lord Gerwolf's prompt action, which saved him for the second time.  Armauk is currently invalided out of action, and awaiting Lord Gerwolf's judgement.  His injuries are extensive, but not deadly: heavy bruising across the shoulders and chest, broken bones in his right hand, and a cut to the neck which came in between his helmet and his armor, and which would have killed him had it penetrated all the way through his mail coif.  It is not yet known for sure whether or not his spine was damaged.
