His head is often covered by the hood of his cloak, and his body is protected for travelling by a well-padded hauberk, with leather "plates" sewn into the lining. At his belt can often be seen a whip, though when he travels in the west he keeps the whip hidden beneath his cloak. When prepared for combat, Vasiln will wear an Eastern hauberk crafted of metal strips laid one over another to create a sort of breastplate. Beneath this he wears a light tunic. For head protection, he will wear a battle mask crafted in his homeland, Rhun, and spiked pauldrons defend his shoulders. |

Background
Vasiln came to the west in secret some time before the Raikiviri were sent out to scout around Breeland. During the time when he awaited the arrival of his compatriots, Vasiln made contact with various bands of brigands and evil men, buying many of their prisoners to ship back east as slaves.
Shortly after the Raikiviri arrived in Breeland, they were ambushed by the Dunedain, so the force Vasiln met up with was much smaller than he had expected, and under different leadership. All the same, he saw in the new warlord, Magaeus, a kindred spirit, and the two formed a friendship of sorts. While this friendship has not gained Magaeus a discount on slaves purchased from Vasiln, it has gained him a good interrogator, and some rather... useful... connections.
