Born in the cottage he still resides in now, Edmand Greyleaf is the son of a hunter, Theodore (Ted) Greyleaf and tavern waitress, Helena Greyleaf. The Greyleaf's were never too rich, but they were never poor either. Ed grew up in a cottage built by his grandfather on the edge of the wood of North Chetwood, outside of Combe. At age 9 his father began to teach him how to hunt and shoot a bow. Many occasions, he traveled with his father on his hunting trips to catch foxes and deer. By the age of 18, Edmand had become better proficient with a bow and arrow than his own father, who was considered very well in Combe and Bree. Growing up, his father had to deal with many horrible folk including ruffians and thieves. Ed always looked up to his dad for his bravery and affection for his son. When Edmand was 22, his father passed away from old age. A small funeral was held and he was buried in Chetwood. A year later, Edmand has taken up his father's occupation and become a hunter himself, caring for his own being and his mother's.
