Outward Appearance

Outward Appearance / She is a slender youth of seventeen. Black-haired lass of medium height, with a pair of pale green eyes in which sharp-sighted might detect a flicker of innocence and some insecurity of youth. She now a days wears an outfit fitting for a merchant.

Behavior / Priya is slightly introverted and approaches strangers with hesitation, observing them before engaging. When alone or with friends, she is relaxed, but when among strangers her posture is often wary and stiff, almost deep-frozen. Her smile is often tense and she blushes easily. When ’pushed around’ enough, her anger often overcomes her shyness. When her nerves snap, she might develop a sarcastic or witty attitude towards the pusher, bite them, spit at them or throw mud at their face (just to give few examples).

Skills / She has little literal knowledge and she is not particularly gifted in the arts of, well, anything. She knows how to hunt hares and how to whittle, though she is not especially gifted in neither. The products of her whittling seem often crude and she sometimes fails to give the poor hares 'a humane kill', if you know what I mean.

Weapons / Under her clumsiness and shy nature she can be strangely intelligent. Her mind is her main weapon, even though she carries a gift knife.

Background

She grew up motherless, without siblings, solely raised by her father, a traveling vendor. Due to the traveling life style, she had no friends and she spoke with no dialects. Her father was a gentle, over protective, parent and his excessive protection made Priya somewhat weak and helpless. The man was not dull-witted though and after realizing her daughter’s lethal dependency on him, he decided to teach her a lesson by simply ’abandoning’ her, saying that she "should learn how to take care of herself". He gave her a nudge towards Bree and vowed to return back, to check on her from time to time. Before departing he gave her two silvers, a blunt knife, an old bow, some traps and a tent with a few holes in the fabric. Priya holds much grudge against her father for his decision to leave her behind.

Sum up of her time in Bree

Priya waited for over three moons for her father to return. The first weeks she lived in her tent, attempting to hunt and fish her food. She wasn't that great in neither and ended up eventually starving. Many attempted to help her, but she turned the help away due to the fact that she wanted to show her father 'She could make it on her own'.

Eventually the hunger drove her into thieving. She started to thieve food after Martie Magpie got her convinced it's actually 'helping' and not 'thieving', because the food would otherwise rot away! For some time, she 'helped' the Inn by snatching the food whenever she could. During that time she slept behind a haystack near the Inn.

One sunny day, she bumped into a man called, Hullis, who had seen the same peril himself and felt sorry for the girl, giving her 400 silvers and a tab at the Inn, providing her stay there. Before that Rhyva had sold her a hunting dog, called Norman, with whom she supposedly would have better luck in 'hunting'. During her stay at the Inn, she met a strange foreigner called Seia, who seemed to share her odd sense of humour and poverty. Rhyva eventually gave up the custody of her entire Kennel to Priya and thus Priya started her career as a trainer of hounds and lived in a house (at the Kennel) for the first time in her life.

Her stay at the Kennel was filled with steep ups and downs. Eventually the events took a rather dramatic turn and she felt the only option available for her - was to leave Bree and abandon all of her friends. She joined a small traveling caravan of an old man and his son Elroy. After two moons of traveling the caravan was one night passing Bree, and she by chance ran into an old friend....
