The first thing anyone not of the Vales would notice is Gysla's height: at six foot even she towers over most human women. Her dark skin and hair is also unusual in the North; those who have some knowledge of cultures to the South might assume she's from Gondor due to her stature and skin-tone. Her hair is almost black, and hangs down past her shoulders. Sometimes she pulls back the top part into a braid.
