Venethor is of Gondorian nobility by birth, born in Minas Tirith, his father was the Captain of the Citadel, Veregond, Son of Elegir, Son of Turgon, Steward of Gondor. Growing up he was close friends with his cousins Boromir and Faramir and they were tutored together. At a young age he was destined for a military career, though it was presumed he'd serve as a Guard of the Citadel like his father. He did so. He served in Minas Tirith, Osgiliath, being one of only four survivors when Mordor took the Eastern shore of the Anduin, rising to become Captain of the First Company of the Guard at the age of twenty-five. 

When Boromir was tasked with travelling to Rivendell, Venethor was tasked with travelling with Boromir, from there their story gets a little hazy. Truth is, he has been assigned to the protection of a Gondorian Lord. known as Kwagar who was sent North by Denethor.

Venables is a quiet man, whose calm, intelligent and kind personality, mixed with his noble upbringing and fierce capability as a swordsman, have fine tuned him into an almost perfect warrior. 

His hatred for Orcs and Goblins and trolls, due to the death of his younger brother Venamir during the capture of the eastern bank. More than Orcs, he hates the treacherous men who have sided with the Enemy.
