Background
He was born in the end of the First Age, about 100 years before the Second, in Ered Luin. He was raised by his father, after his mother died when he was only 17 years old, very very young for an elf. He moved around a lot, never staying in one place for more than a few months, six at the most. He met, and befriended many people, including the dwarf Dori, before the adventure of Erebor took place.
