Outward Appearance

"It is hard work, dedication, and discipline that yields results, not faith."

Born in the north most region of Wilderland in the village of Hällhamn, Tylva looks very much out of place when she's not among her own kin. She stands tall, just taller than the average man, and is a bit stronger than one too, dressed in several layers of worn yet finely crafted northern armour, the somewhat matted fur of a great brown bear draped over her shoulders, and always with a heavy battle axe of Gondorian craft at her right hip. This all makes her a fairly imposing figure despite her youth and her soft, feminine facial features. Her voice has a slight sing-song accent, as betraying of her northern heritage as her tall stature, blonde hair, and blue-grey eyes.
She is sometimes a bit hesitant when she speaks, especially in the company of people she doesn't know, mostly due to the endless cultural differences between herself and folk not of Wilderland. Like the rest of her kin, she is honest and straightforward in all matters, and Tylva also seems to be almost completely literal-minded, and as such is easily confused by metaphors and foreign proverbs. Sarcasm too is a relatively new concept for her.
The moment action is needed there isn't a shred of uncertainty in her though, then the trained and battle hardened warrior she is truly shows, cold, calculating, and near ruthless. She also appears to be equipped with a very morbid sense of humour.

Background

"Only the strong can survive and thrive in Wilderland."

Where the river Greylin meets the Grey Mountains, a village has sheltered for centuries, guarded by water, steep cliffs, and high walls, and populated by perhaps one of the most stubborn and hardy tribes of Wilderland. Theirs is a warrior culture, one of strict laws where strength, family, and honour are its pillars. Due to the harsh region they've carved their home in, you won't find a single man or woman there who does not know how to fight and kill for their survival. All are required to go through basic training in combat and warfare from an early age, but only those most skilled go on to become true warriors of Hällhamn, with fighting as their sole trade. These warriors frequently travel the rivers south on their longships, into Gondor to hire themselves out as an elite mercenary army, or across the sea to raid in Harad, and their reputation has become a fierce and impressive one.
