The House of Ormë'Dar, with their current leader Ilkanôr Ormë'Dar, is known for excellent craftsmanship of any sort. Its founder was Alcarion, who had poured the water of Cuiviénen into the city well of Quendilirëthin, later named Kinn-Sala. During the War with Ungoliant’s offspring he and his wife Imirilë were killed. They had two sons, Valmelûcor and Ilkanôr.

Ilkanôr Ormë’Dar, his appearance is one of a hardened warrior, perhaps hostile to those who are not his of his kindred. His remarkable appearance is certainly caused by the serious expression his face maintains. Even more noteworthy is one of his eyes that is not visible due an eye patch covering his entire right eye socket. And a small line of burned skin on his temple. Partially blindness and burns are two aftereffects from the venomous substance that was spit at his face by Ungoliant’s Brood in the Brood War. Some skin and muscles melted at the impact. His hair is chestnut brown as are his eyebrows. He stands tall and carries a great amount of authority in his voice.
