Ceowen was born in Forlaw. Her mother was a healer and her father was a warrior, and she grew up learning a little bit of both. She would call her childhood a relatively happy one. They were a wealthy family and Ceowen was well taken care of, and she had almost anything she needed. She started training to use a sword when she was quite little, and her mother taught her basic healer necessities. She had no surviving siblings, any children that were born after her never lived long enough.

Both of her parents were killed when Núrzum attacked Forlaw. Her parents had ushered her out in the evacuation, but her mother had stayed behind to help the other healers tend to wounded soldiers. Neither of her parents survived the attack, and Ceowen came back to an empty home that was partially destroyed. She stayed to help rebuild her town and to help people look for lost family members. When she felt like Forlaw was mostly back on it's feet, she left home and traveled further into Rohan.

She drifted from town to town. She never stayed in any one place for long, and she took odd jobs here and there. Never happy and never content, Ceowen eventually left Rohan altogether and she found herself traveling West, until she got to Bree-land. There she bought a small house and worked as a Healer for the Watcher's infirmary, living on her own down in the neighborhoods.

Ceowen left her post at the infirmary and began to work out of her own clinic out of her home.
