Gadroc Rookmoore, or more commonly known by his nickname Gadda, is just a simple hobbit in his best years of adulthood, who only wants to live a silent and comfortable life entirely without complications. He has never held a real job or vocation any longer than a month in his entire life, but still never seem to be without money. Jealous tongues in the Shire have long gossiped that the Rookmoore family have untold riches stashed away somewhere, despite their somewhat reclusive nature and seemingly simple living, mainly as miners in Scary, and a number of other relatives scattered about. Gadda himself now lives close to his auntie Ol' Julie, who breeds dogs for a living. As her favorite nephew and not having any children of her own, it's been implied over the years that Gadda will be the one to take over her house and dog breeding grounds when the time comes, much to the dismay of other relatives who thinks he's a real good-for-nothing slacker who has never done any meaningful work in his life. Which is actually pretty accurate.

He's out camping and fishing much in his free time, which is pretty much all the time, and he rarely (...never) makes a ruckus or brings any trouble with him. As a self-proclaimed loner, he is rarely seen in the company of others, save for the occasional pub night when there is ale to drink and music to listen to, and even then he usually prefers to stay in the background and smoke a pipe, unless he's in the mood to party. His most trusted friend is a large, strong, kind and loving dog named Rocco, who usually accompanies Gadda on his travels and sometimes carry some of his equipment.

In short, Gadda is just the hobbit-next-door that you sometimes see passing by, but never truly know.
