Sae was sold to an important chieftain at an early age by her family who needed the income to support the rest of the children.  The female servants in the chieftain's service found life better there, since they were not working in the fields or leading an impoverished life in the cities or somewhere on the outskirts of the Haradric kingdoms.
Sae's new owner was unique in that he recognised the value of the girls and women he purchased, understanding that much of the private business other rulers conducted was not hidden from the wives, concubines & female servants in the seraglio, or harem.  Those like Sae, with the physical ability, intelligence & visual appeal were trained to gather information & conduct actions against the enemies of the chieftain.  Finding that her owner was planning a coup against a powerful ruler who was not blind to her owners manipulations, Sae fled for her life, correctly guessing that neither her owner nor the ruler would suffer her to remain alive due to her knowledge. 
She fled the country & has sought refuge as far away as she could; ending up in Bree-land.
