| Outward Appearance | Glinnel is a little bit short for a High Elf (being around 6 foot tall), and a little bit ambiguous even for one of their kind as well. They appear flat-chested, their voice may slip slightly lower or higher between or even within conversations, and their singing range is wide though they are rarely found to use the depth of it. These differences may not be apparent to a non-Elf.
Their hair is shoulder length, a dark brown that looks black until the sun strikes it. It seems cared for, but it's a touch unkempt for an Elf, hastily pushed back behind ears, or pulled into a rushed small pony-tail where it's long enough. Their eyes are a dark blue-grey, and probably don't seem to be paying much attention to the people around them, either engrossed in or distracted by something else. |

Background
Becoming a Scholar
Memory has never come easily for Glinnel. While some of their kind might remember ages past, Glinnel found from a young age that remembering what happened in far more recent times could prove difficult. It did not help that they were not always very good at paying attention. The solution that Glinnel found was journals, countless journals. Each noteworthy comment or event was scribed into a journal, and in this way Glinnel was forced to focus and aided to remember.
Many years passed this way, until, looking upon what had become a library of small happenings and conversations, Glinnel decided to take the practice up a notch. They began studying and recording the histories and goings-on of other people, and searched out tutors of the scholarly arts. They continue to pursue this path to this day.
