His specialty is the sword, and he ensures he is a peak fitness to be swift and certain in any fight. 'Sea sword' is a nickname given him early on in his career, as he is one who can fight exceptionally well even on a heaving deck. His appearance is more that of his Haradrim ancestors than of the pale skinned 'Black Numenorians, being dusky of skin, brown of eye and dark blonde of hair. He can seem not to care overmuch about his general appearance, but he walks with the bearing of a noble. His voice is deep, but not harsh of tone. He speaks the Common tongue well, but with quite a strong accent. |

Background
Born into a hard working, prosperous, trader family, Naraal and his sister were taught the importance of making coin work for them. They both spent many hours with their parents in warehouses and on board ships, examine the quality of goods, learning to spot valuable items from the general ones in a blink of an eye. Both were proud of character, but Naraal was less likely than his sister to consider the welfare of any others.
When he was fourteen, his sister ran away to avoid a planned marriage with a member of a more noble house. He joined in the search for her, but it was reported she had jumped into a sea storm rather than be taken back. He was never quite the same after, becoming more ruthless, though he was never cruel for crueltys sake.
Naraal wants to make good in the World. He wants to be among those giving the orders, not taking them. To that end he has sometimes worked with slavers and spy masters. His loyalty is to himself, though he will be loyal to those who pay him well, and further his own aims.
He has a particular hatred for the elven ship 'Uinenlinde' and her captain, Gaerion. Other than that, members of all races are much the same to him. If they get in his way, he will remove them.
| Friends | Doesn't trust many. Greenfield was an acquaintance until he found out who he really was. Now he is totally loyal to him. Magan is the nearest to a real friend. |
|---|---|
| Relatives | A sister, Narryd, somewhere perhaps. |
| Rivals/Enemies | Elven ships out of Mithlond and Celondim, particularly the Uinenlinde. Rohirrim and Dunedain who get in his way. Self-righteous Gondorians. |
| Loves | Power. A good wind and a fast ship. Red-heads. Music. |
|---|---|
| Hates | Being looked down on for not being a full-blooded descendent of Numenor. Lacking power. Sea Elves. |
| Motivation | To rise in the service of the true 'King' and be rewarded for it. To be treated with the respect he believes he is due. |
